The 'Design to Taste' event, driven by the Basque Living initiative promoted by the Habic Cluster, was held at Sagardi restaurant in the British capital.
The reactions received from professionals were very positive: many of them were unaware of the existence of emergency lighting products with such thoughtfully designed aesthetics.
A window open to the world of Basque design. This is how the
Basque Living project is defined, promoted by Habic, the Basque Country Cluster of Equipment, Wood and Design, of which DAISALUX is one member together with another twenty Basque and Navarre companies. The aim of the initiative is to highlight the high quality and skills of Basque-Navarre design firms and the quality of their products through original activities.
In this context, on 6th June, the 'Design to Taste' event took place at Sagardi restaurant in London, in which Daisalux featured its products and services along with six other Cluster companies: Codis, Ena, Hanbel, Ojmar, Onddi and Parklex.
More than 70 architects from the British capital attended and were offered a master class of Basque cuisine, fusing the subtlety and exquisiteness of this specialty cuisine with the products of the companies participating in the event. Attendees then enjoyed a delicious dinner based on elaborated pintxos, while chatting with manufacturers about their products.
Daisalux made a short presentation in which it conveyed the full potential of its solutions in emergency lighting and building signage; highlighting the careful design that is always applied to its products (
Ziner,
Izar,
Atria, among others) and the care that goes into conceptualisation and the subsequent development and manufacture.
The reactions received from the architects were very positive and many of them were surprised, since they didn't know that aesthetically designed emergency lighting products existed. In the United Kingdom, light fittings of this type are considered a technical aspect that is directly implemented by engineering. They congratulated Daisalux for its work and said that they will keep the company's products "very much in mind" for future projects.
It was a real pleasure to participate in the 'Design to Taste' initiative. It is of enormous interest to share these spaces for creativity, innovation and generating synergies; joining forces to reach a qualified audience in different countries. Basque Living enables Daisalux to highlight the importance of design in emergency lighting, one of Daisalux's flagship products together with its advanced manufacturing and quality control systems.
